Event - Careif trustee presentation on working with interpreters in mental health

Professor Rachel Tribe, a trustee of Careif, was invited to return to Newcastle University in June to give a presentation on working with interpreters in mental health. This followed a successful workshop that was run last year.

Her presentation was titled ‘Issues to consider in relation to trust and role boundaries when working in interpreter-mediated mental health work’. It was part of an event on Trust and Role Boundaries in Interpreter-Mediated Psychological Therapy, which was organised by Dr Jade Biyu Du and Dr Anna Chaddock from Newcastle University. The event was targeted at mental health practitioners and interpreters.
