New partnership between Careif and WASSOR

Careif is delighted to be collaborating with WASSOR, an organisation based in Senegal, in one of their training programmes. Wassor is dedicated to addressing psychological distress in Senegal, with a particular focus on vulnerable women and those with caregiving responsibilities.

Their initiatives include awareness campaigns, training programs, community engagement, and establishing support centres to provide essential mental health services. Since June 2023, they have also launched an emergency psychosocial intervention program, offering immediate support to those in need in the face of difficulties, with their partner SOS Senegal. 

Partnerships are at the core of Wassor’s mission. Wassor’s vision for the next five years is to expand their reach and enhance their services to create a sustainable and lasting impact on mental health and women’s empowerment in Senegal. Through their partnerships, they aim to promote mental well-being in Senegal through training mental health champions to provide mental health support and advocacy.
