Careif would like to bring to your attention an important seminar on geopsychiatry that is being organised jointly by the World Psychiatric Association, the Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations and the SAARAC Psychiatric Federation.
The online seminar, taking place on Saturday 8 March, has a theme of The relevance of geopsychiatry: navigating climatic events mental health complexities. The first speaker in this seminar is Dr Albert Persaud, Careif co-founder, who will be talking on Climate change vulnerabilities, resilience, and mental health in the Caribbean.
Geopsychiatry is an emerging field that explores the impact of geography, climate, and environment on mental health. The seminar will examine how factors like urbanisation, natural disasters, and climate change influence psychiatric disorders and healthcare access.
