Successful training event on working with interpreters in mental health
A highly successful joint training on psychologists working with interpreters in mental health was held in London on 31 May. The event was led by Careif trustee Professor Rachel Tribe and Phil Muriel a board member of the National Register of Public Service interpreters (NRPSI) and was supported by Careif associate Emily O’Shea.

Dr Jed Boardman (Vice chair of Careif) gave a very well-received talk on Social Exclusion and Mental Health to the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology students at the University of East London.

Event - Working with Interpreters in Mental Health
This innovative event supported by the British Psychological Society (BPS), Careif, the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI) and the Association of Community Interpreters (ACIS) takes place on 31 May and will provide a free joint training workshop for both psychologists and interpreters.
