Professor Afzal Javed joins Careif as a trustee

Careif is extremely pleased to announce that Professor Afzal Javed is joining the charity as our latest trustee.

Professor Javed is a Consultant Psychiatrist and an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham. Among many other roles, he was the immediate Past President of the World Psychiatric Association and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Professor Javed describes his role at Careif as an “exciting and rewarding position for supporting mental health”.

Careif Trustee Professor Rachel Tribe welcomed the news:
